How to make money on Clubhouse!

February 3, 2021 by Christine Seale

Want to know how to make money on Clubhouse? Well I’m going to teach you how to set up an SMS auto responder similar to the five tech short codes that you see to bring people into your funnel.

I’m going to show you how to set this up so that you can bring people into your funnel from Clubhouse and automatically grab their phone numbers.

We’re going to set up a “Text 50k to this number to get started” and then put people in an autoresponder, and get them into your CRM. This is my very own Clubhouse funnel. And if you haven’t checked out Clubhouse yet, you totally should do that because it’s amazing! There are some amazing people on there.

Step One: Create Number

I’m using GoHighLevel, and you can get a free 14-day trial here. GoHighLevel is an all-in-one marketing platform which allows you to do two-way text, email, and manage your leads. It’s a lead management system CRM scheduler all-in-one.

After you’ve set up an account, you’re going to create a phone number. I recommend that if you have several phone numbers already, you get a new phone number for a dollar a month. Go to ‘add a phone number’, choose your area code, do a search and then pick the number.

Step Two: Setup Campaign

Next you need to create your text campaign. What you can do here depends on your offer. You ideally want to have some kind of funnel or offer set up for people to come into from Clubhouse (or wherever your funnel is – wherever you’re trying to capture their information).

If you already have your offer set up, or even if you don’t, you’re going to need to figure that out first.

You need to create a text… and this is going to be a reply. This reply can say something like:

“Hey, so you want to see our (insert offer here) that we use to (insert result here)”

Then put “(REPLY OPT OUT TO UNSUBSCRIBE)”. Make sure you do that because if you don’t, you’ll get banned by Twilio – they are cracking down hard.

So, that’s the first text, and I typically have that going out right away because even if you wait one minute, people might forget.

I always do positive intent on the first text because you get fewer spam complaints that way.

Then your positive intent is going to be the second text and you can say:

“Cool, you can check it out here: linkgoeshere.com” and click OK.

Now you’ve got the campaigns set up! You getting clearer on how to make money on Clubhouse? Ready to move onto to step 3?

Step Three: Create Short Code

Now it’s time to come up with a short code. It needs to be a code that people are not going to just randomly text you, so like avoid things like “price” or “cost” – common phrases that your audience asks.

So for mine, it’s “minus 50k”, because we made 50k in a week and no one’s ever going to text me randomly “50k”.

Also, if you have your own phone number set up for this purpose, you won’t have to be as picky about the short code.

Step Four: Setup Trigger

Now you need to create a trigger, which is going to say “Customer replied”.

On the filters, click Reply Channel > SMS > Contains phrase > This is your phrase that you came up with in Step Three.

Then set your phone number by clicking in Phone Number. If you want to limit it to that one phone number in your funnel, you just have to add a filter for that.

This is our first trigger. What you then can do is add people to a campaign ( this is the campaign that you just set up.)

It’s a good idea to add them into a pipeline. So whatever your offer is, set up a new pipeline for each offer so you’re not confused, and then text it. I add them in the pipeline and then in the source I add Clubhouse. That’s the first trigger.

Then the second trigger is going to be the positive intent trigger.

Create a second trigger for when the customer replies to the first campaign, which was AA Test One. Then select Intent type > positive and then OK.

So that’s how you do the positive intent. So if they say “Yes, yeah, sure, cool, awesome,” they’re going to get put into this next one.

On the right, under “What action should we perform?”, add them into the next campaign for the positive intent, which is the second campaign I showed you. Then you can also move them in the pipeline “Texted POSITIVE INTENT”. Enter the source again as Clubhouse, or whatever your source is, then save it.

Step Five: Test

To test this what you’ve set up, text your keyword to your phone number from your phone and then see if you get an auto reply.

I hope this helps you guys to set up your own text to SMS numbers and gives you some ideas on how to make money on Clubhouse.
