Hey guys, what’s up? It’s Christine Seale, the High Level Queen, and today I’m bringing you an amazing tutorial that will take your digital marketing game to a whole new nerd level. In my latest YouTube video, I break down how to install Google Analytics 4 (GA4) into your High Level CRM account in just six easy steps. Whether you’re a seasoned marketer or just starting out, this guide is packed with valuable insights and practical steps to enhance your data tracking and analysis capabilities. Let’s dive in!
Why Google Analytics 4?
First, let’s talk about why GA4 is a game-changer. Unlike its predecessor, GA4 offers more robust data collection and analysis capabilities, making it easier to track user interactions across multiple platforms. This is a must-have for any serious digital marketer or agency looking to stay ahead of the curve.
Step 1: Accessing Admin Settings
The first step to integrating GA4 is accessing the admin settings in your Google Analytics account. Log in to your account and navigate to the Admin panel. Here, you’ll find the option to create a new GA4 property or upgrade an existing one. This is where the magic begins!
Step 2: Getting Started with GA4
Once you’re in the Admin panel, click on “Get Started.” If you have existing tags, you can enable data collection right away. However, if it’s grayed out, don’t worry; you can still proceed. Click on “Create Property” to set up your new GA4 property.
Step 3: Setting Up Data Streams
Next, you’ll set up your data streams. This step involves configuring your GA4 property to start collecting data from your website or app. Go to the Admin panel again, select your GA4 property, and navigate to Data Streams. Here, you’ll create a new data stream and get a unique measurement ID.
Step 4: Adding the Measurement ID to Your Website
Now that you have your measurement ID, it’s time to add it to your website. You can do this using Google Tag Manager. If you’re not already using Tag Manager, this is a great time to start. Add the measurement ID to your Tag Manager setup, and you’ll be ready to start collecting data.
Step 5: Creating a New Tag in Google Tag Manager
In this step, you’ll create a new tag in Google Tag Manager. Select the GA4 configuration, paste your measurement ID into the appropriate box, and save it. Make sure to set the tag to fire on all pages of your website. Name your tag something memorable, like “Google Analytics GA4,” and then submit and publish your changes.
Step 6: Testing Your Setup
Finally, it’s time to test your setup. Go to your website where you’ve installed Google Tag Manager and navigate back to Google Analytics. Click on “Real Time” to see if your visits are showing up. If everything is set up correctly, you should see your real-time data.
Integrating GA4 with High Level CRM
But wait, there’s more! Once your GA4 is set up and running, you’ll want to integrate it with your High Level CRM. Go into your High Level workflow, select Google Analytics, and enter your tracking ID. You can set up event categories and actions to track specific interactions, such as contact name and source. This is particularly useful for eCommerce sites and marketing campaigns.
Why This Integration is a Must-Have
Integrating GA4 with High Level CRM allows you to track a wide range of user interactions, providing deeper insights into customer behavior and campaign performance. This is incredibly powerful for optimizing your marketing strategies and improving ROI.
