And today we are going to talk about how
to connect Instagram messaging into your
highlevel CRM
so that you can put them in workflow
and you can message them
directly from your CRM.
So let’s get started.
Okay.
So the first thing that you’re going
to want to do is give Instagram access
to send your messages to third parties.
So I have my phone open here and you’re
going to want to go to your profile
and then click the Top Burger
icon in the top, right.
Which is here.
And then you’re going
to click on settings.
Okay.
Now go to Privacy
and then click on messages
toward the bottom.
Okay.
Now under Connected Tools
at the very bottom we’re going
to click on allow access to messages.
Okay.
So just a quick note.
If you enable the third party messages,
anyone with approved access to your
Facebook business, we or Creator Studio or
other third party apps can view your
Instagram direct messages and manage them.
Okay.
If you toggle them off, then only you
will be able to access these messages.
So in order to connect them
with Highlevel, you have
to turn the setting on.
Okay.
And then for step two,
what we’re going to do is we’re going
to go into your Highlevel account that you
want to manage the settings
in and then click on settings.
Then we’re going to go to integrations.
And then here you can see that Facebook is
already connected and Instagram
is not because it’s Gray.
So
we’re going to just click on Instagram.
And now it says you can now use
both Facebook and Instagram.
Okay.
So I’m going to refresh it and just
make sure that is actually connected.
And I’m just going to go
ahead and reconnect it.
And then I’m going to click that.
And then I’m just going
to click all of them.
No,
I’m reconnected.
And then here I’m just going
to pick my Facebook page
and it should say like
Instagram is available.
So I’m going to go ahead and reconnect it.
Sometimes you have to do that.
Alright.
So we’re good to go here now.
So what do I do with this?
Well, I’m glad you asked.
There’s a lot you can do with this.
If you want to go into your conversation
and click on all,
then you can actually see
the Instagram messages start
popping up in here, which is cool.
But you can also do so
much more than that.
So what you can do from here is you can
actually connect them into workflow.
So I’m in a workflow now
and let’s say that I want to whenever
someone has a tag added that I’m going
to send them an email
and then I’m going to wait.
Right.
Well, then I can do this cool thing
and say Instagram DM
and I can either use a template or I can
say, hey, thanks for and then send
them like a trigger link, right?
Or just a regular like, it doesn’t matter
or you can just say like,
hey, thanks for messaging us.
We’ll be back to you soon, right?
So
you can do a lot with these Instagram DMs
and it looks like they are on a go forward
basis, just like the Facebook messages.
So I’m not seeing any past Instagram DM.
I think I’m only going to see the future
Instagram DM, which is
totally fine and expected.
