April 22, 2024 by Christine Seale

Unlocking Efficiency: Transfer Sub-Accounts in Go High Level in 5 Easy Steps

Hey there, digital marketing wizards! Christine Seale here, your go-to nerd for all things High Level and automation. I’m super excited to share a fantastic new feature in Go High Level that’s going to revolutionize how you manage your sub-accounts. Ready to dive into the magic of automation and streamline your workflow? Let’s get started!

Why This Feature is a Game-Changer

First off, let’s talk about why this new feature is a big deal. In the fast-paced world of digital marketing, efficiency is key. Being able to transfer sub-accounts seamlessly between agencies within Go High Level not only saves time but also ensures that all crucial data is moved accurately. Whether you’re scaling your operations or collaborating with another agency, this feature is designed to make your life easier.

Step 1: Access the Agency Account

Alright, step one is a breeze. You need to go to your agency account and select the sub-account you want to transfer. Easy peasy, right? Here’s how:

  • Click on the top-left switch to agency view.
  • Select ‘Sub-Accounts’ from the menu.
  • Look for the dot, dot, dot (⋮) icon next to the sub-account you want to transfer and click on ‘Manage Client.’

Step 2: Initiate the Transfer

Now that you’re in the right spot, it’s time to initiate the transfer. Under the ‘Actions’ menu in the top right, you’ll see the option to ‘Transfer Sub-Account.’ Click on it, and you’re halfway there!

  • Read the terms and agree to them.
  • Ensure you have the relationship number of the agency you’re transferring to. This is crucial to prevent any accidental transfers.

Step 3: Enter the Relationship Number

This step is all about precision. Enter the relationship number of the receiving agency carefully. This number ensures that the sub-account goes exactly where it’s supposed to.

Step 4: Request the Transfer

Click on ‘Request Transfer,’ and a request will be sent to the receiving agency. They need to confirm this transfer. As soon as it’s approved, the sub-account will be moved to the new agency.

Step 5: Track the Transfer

The final step is all about monitoring the process. Go back to the agency view, select ‘Sub-Accounts,’ and you’ll see an option for ‘Sub-Account Transfer.’ Here, you can track all your sent and received transfer requests. Simple and effective!

What Gets Transferred and What Doesn’t

Now, let’s get into the nitty-gritty of what gets transferred and what stays behind. This part is crucial for ensuring a smooth transition.

What Gets Transferred:

  • Lead Connector phone numbers and emails (if both agencies use Lead Connector)
  • Websites, funnels, High Level calendars, and automations
  • Contacts, conversations, appointments, opportunities, and history
  • Users with user type accounts specific to that sub-account

What Doesn’t Get Transferred:

  • Authentication connections (Google, Facebook, Instagram, QuickBooks, Clio, Yext, Dr. Chrono)
  • Facebook and Google settings
  • Sub-account Stripe fields
  • SAS settings
  • Word smart lists
  • Mailgun and SMTP settings
