In her latest YouTube video, Christine unpacks everything you need to know about audit logs, ensuring you can track every change in your system with ease. So grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and let’s explore how to master audit logs with Christine’s expert guidance.
Why Audit Logs Matter
Hey guys, it’s Christine Seale here, the High Level Queen. If you’re running a digital marketing agency, you know how vital it is to keep track of every change made within your CRM system. That’s where audit logs come into play. With audit logs, you can see who did what and when, eliminating the guesswork and keeping your operations transparent and efficient.
Getting Started with Audit Logs
In the video, I walk you through the process step-by-step, making it easy for you to follow along. First things first, there are multiple ways to access your audit logs in Go High Level. Here’s a simple breakdown:
- Accessing the Audit Log:
- Click on “Switch” and then select “Agency View.”
- Navigate to “Audit Logs,” and voila, you’re in!
This screen will show you all the recent activities, from users added and accounts updated to changes in CNAME settings. Keep in mind that this audit log only shows actions from the point you set it up going forward—it won’t display past activities.
Filtering Your Logs
Now that you’re in the audit logs, how do you make sense of all this data? That’s where the filtering options come in handy. You can filter by:
- Time Period: Today, Yesterday, This Week, Last Week, Last 60 Days
- Action Type: Created, Updated, Deleted
- User or Account: Narrow down the log by specific users or accounts
Simply use the little refresh button to update your view with the latest data.
Diving Deeper: Account-Level Logs
But wait, there’s more! You can also view audit logs on a per-account basis. This is especially useful if you manage multiple accounts and need detailed insights into specific changes.
- Steps:
- Go to the account in question.
- Click on “Settings” and then “Logs.”
Here, you’ll see all actions related to contacts, users, and even document IDs. This granular level of detail is a game-changer for maintaining accuracy and accountability within your agency.
Real-World Application: How This Helps You
So why should you care about audit logs? Well, imagine this scenario: You notice a significant change in your system, but no one is claiming responsibility. With audit logs, you can quickly identify who made the change and when, resolving any confusion and preventing future mishaps. It’s a great way to ensure everyone is on the same page and your system remains in top shape.
